Article I

We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, as given in what is known as the King James translation, are of Divine authority and are to be taken as the only rule of faith and practice.

(Deut. 4:2; Heb. 1:1-2; Rom. 15:4; Rom. 16:26; 2 Tim. 3:16)

Article II

We Believe in the Trinity of the Godhead, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, and these Three are One, infinite in wisdom, mercy, justice, power, holiness, and the truth.

(Deut. 6:4; Matt. 18:19; John 1:1; John 10:30; 1 Tim. 2:5; 1 Cor. 8:6)

Article III

We believe that in the transgression man fell under the condemnatory sentence of the law.  He was unable to recover himself, thereby placing his entire posterity in the same condemnation with him.

(Gen. 2:17; Rom. 3:9)

Article IV

We believe that God chose a definite number of Adam’s fallen posterity in Christ before the foundation of the world to be made manifest in due time as the heirs of promise.  This choice was wholly of grace and unconditional on the part of the creature.

(Eph. 1:4; Rom. 9:11; 1 Thess. 2:14; 1 Pet. 1:2)

Article V

We believe that God predestinated the elect unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ unto Himself according to the good pleasure of His will.

(Rom. 8:29; Eph. 1:5; Eph. 3:6)

Article VI

We believe that Christ Jesus, who was set up from everlasting to be the Mediator between God and men, did in time really and truly take upon Himself a human body nature, and from sin excepted, and in that body He suffered and died for the sins of the elect and no others.

(John 17:9; Gal. 4:4-5; Heb. 7:15; Heb. 8:3; Heb 10:5-10)

Article VII

We believe that Christ hath obtained eternal redemption for the elect, His suffering, blood and death constituting a full and complete atonment for their sins.

(Heb 9:26-28; Heb. 10:14; Heb. 13:12; Eph. 1:7)

Article VIII

We believe that regeneration, or being born again, is not the act of the creature, nor is it the result of what he may do or believe, but it is the work of God, who gives eternal life to quicken the sinner, causing him to confess his sins and to feel the need of a Savior.

(John 5:25; Rom. 4:6)

Article IX

We believe that none who are born again will fall away and be lost, but will be preserved through grace and will be finally raised in a glorified state.

(Jer. 32:40; John 6:39-40, 44; John 10:28-29; 1 Pet. 1:23)

We believe in the resurrection of the dead, both of the just and the unjust; the just to life eternal and the unjust to shame and everlasting punishment.

(Dan. 12:2; Matt. 25:34-46; 1 Cor. 15:12-16; 1 Thess. 4:14; 2 Thess. 1:8-9)

Article XI

We believe the gospel is to be preached as a witness to the truth and of Christ Jesus, for the comfort and instruction of regenerated men and women and children, but we deny that it is to assert that there is an obligation resting upon the unregenerate to believe that Jesus Christ is their Savior.

(Matt. 24:14; Mark 16:15; Acts 13:48; Rom. 1:16; 2 Tim. 3:16-17)

We believe that good works are evidences of a gracious state and should be maintained in the Church but are not  a condition of salvation.

(Matt. 5:16; Luke 17:10; Eph. 2:8-10; Titus 3:8)

Article XIII

We believe that baptism and the Lord’s Supper, and washing the saints’ feet are ordinances appointed by Christ for the Church, and they are to be administered only by authority of them having been legally ordained.

(Matt. 28:19; Luke 22:19; John 13:4-15)
